Very sorry to see you go Jessica, you have been the face of CCau to me, doing a wonderful job recognising what's going on, and helping to promote it. Thanks and good luck in your new line of work.

I think a number of you will have heard this by now, or seen it on the (brand spanking new) CCau website - but it is with sadness that I announce that I am moving on from my position as the Project Manager of Creative Commons Australia.
I've enjoyed working to forward CC in Australia and internationally for the last four years. I'll miss the organisation and community terribly, and I'm pretty sure I'll always regard this as the best job I ever had. But I'm looking forward to stretching my wings a bit, and trying my hand at a new job in the broadcasting sector for a bit.
I am extremely proud of the achievements of ccAustralia over the last few years, and in particular the shift we've seen in the public perception of CC. CC has moved from bring seen as the domain of the geeks, bloggers and academics to mainstream acceptance - as demonstrated by the fact that it is now the default licence for both the Australian Parliament House and the Whitehouse websites.
I remain strongly dedicated to the Creative Commons philosophy and system, and I'll be continuing to fight the good fight over the coming years as a volunteer. I hope to see you all around the traps, and I'm pretty sure I'll still turn up on the mailing lists a fair amount!
In the meantime, Elliott Bledsoe and Brian Fitzgerald will continue to wave the Creative Commons flag in Australia - with the help of Anne Fitzgerald, Neale Hooper, Cheryl Foong and all the other CCau affiliates and volunteers.
Good luck to all - and feel free to share, remix and reuse this email!
Jessica Coates
