Title: music licensing talk - syndey hello ccau list
for those of you based in sydney, i will be part of a panel on music licensing being hosted by local arts organisation sQuareOne. details below:
Copyright is a tricky business. In music, it is especially so. As linear models of knowledge and cultural production continue to be supplanted by more distributed, collaborative, user-generated, diverse and open networking models, what is the role of copyright licensing for the music industry of the future? The panel will explore what’s been happening, and what other opportunities exist to help musicians decide how best to manage their content in the digital environment.
6:00pm, Wednesday, April 9, 2008
SQuareOne, 525 Harris St, Ultimo
Please RSVP by Tuesday, 8th April so that we can accomodate for numbers on the night! Call 02 9660 6591 or email s1 AT vibewire.net
