But... we should remark that this word can be a noun (meaning "cake").... and then we can accept the Woodruft's answer: look at 1Ki 19:6 for the singular construct (the cake of...)  and at Ex 12:39 for the plural (cakes)
And  it can also be a verbal form of עוג (WG, to bake.
[We find a form of this verb in Eze 4:12]
Taken as a verbal form, עגת, (GT, means "you baked". Depending on the vowels (pointing) it will mean "you (male) baked" (agta) or "you (female) baked" (agt
For some illustrating examples in the Tanakh look at 2Sa 12:21 for a male and at Ruth 3:3 for a female. .

It depends on how you point it. If you use a holem it is plural construct, if you use patach it is singular construct. I hope this helps.
