And it's pointed, of course, unlike Torah scrolls.

Hi Chris,

The Leningrad Codex is out of the running because it is a codex (bound book form) rather than a scroll.

Blessings,

Thought this might be a good forum to ask this question: This article (http://abcnews.go.com/International/worlds-oldest-complete-torah-scroll-found-italian-professor/story?id=19280022#.UaY795wvlVU) claims that this 12th-13th century manuscript is the "oldest complete torah scroll," but Codex Leningradensis dates to 1008-9 AD.

Is the Torah portion of Leningradensis lacking in some way, or is Leningradensis not in the running for "oldest Torah scroll" because it also contains the Prophets and the Writings?
Sincerely,

Chris Lovelace
