For those of you involved in text-linguistics and biblical Hebrew, what are
the most beneficial research languages to know if I am entering the
text-linguistics and biblical Hebrew field? I have Hebrew, Greek, and German
but I'm not sure what else would be helpful in this field. More narrowly,
I'd like to focus mostly on Hebrew poetry and discourse features. I've read
a lot to build my theoretical framework and hope to do a lot of research in
this area. Perhaps Ugaritic for the poetry? What about Aramaic? French?
etc.
Thanks,Daniel Wilson
