'acquisition' is a technical term referring to 'internalization' and
productive fluency.
Deciphering Akkadian or Ugaritic, and reading Hebrew or Targum
Onkelos does not qualify as 'acquisition'.
On the other hand, speaking Latin for extended conversation
may qualify as fairly high internalization. It doesn't have to be
'mother-tongue' nor error free. In fact, the kinds of errors
relate to levels of internalization, like if an English learner
repeatedly drops an 's' in 3-sing present, etc.
