Hi John,
The root K$L means "to fail": "If your right eye should fail you, poke it
out and throw it away". I haven't looked up what the Greek is, but it may be
that the English "offend" is a faulty translation!

I am looking for the meaning of this word
תכשילך
It is found in the Hebrew version of the Gospel of Matthew in 5:29 and
apparently it means offend, but I would like to know the root of it. Any
help would be greatly appreciated!
