The Unicode/XML Westminster Leningrad Codex at:

http://www.tanach.us/Tanach.xml

has the following Unicode characters at the citations:

Deut 22:3 ve-khen ta'aseh:
vav sheva kaf tsere darga final-nun space
tav dagesh patah ayin hataf-patah shin sin-dot segol munah he

Deut 21:13 u-vakheta:
vav dagesh bet qamats meteg kaf sheva tav qamats tevir he space

In these and other cases, the character names can be found by highlighting the text, holding the SHIFT key down, and clicking on the text. The Unicode Hebrew character set can be found at

http://www.tanach.us/Tanach.xml#Coding

Almost every character in the Westminster Leningrad Codex corresponds to a unique character in Unicode Hebrew. The exception is the meteg. The WLC specifies the position of the meteg with 3 codes (35, 75, 95) all of which result in the same Unicode Meteg (x05bd). Transcription software positions the Unicode Meteg properly according to the WLC codes.

Quoting AMK Judaica <amkjudaica AT hotmail.com>:

1) Deut. 22:3 ve-khen ta'aseh

Mordechai Breuer and Michael Perlman record that Leningrad has munah revi'a as the accents, but in Westminster, Dotan/Adi and BHS (which as based on Leningrad) I see kadma azla.

2) Deut. 21:13 u-vakheta

Dotan/Adi has a merkha on the bet, whereas Westminster and BHS have a meteg.

If anyone has the Leningrad facs., please let me know which accents you see in these instances.

Thanks,
Ari Kinsberg
