Hello friends,

Some of you may be interested to know that the beginner's group using
M. Mansoor, Biblical Hebrew Step by Step, Vol 1, 2nd ed, (Aug 1999;
ISBN 0801060419) is set to restart after a short hiatus. The tentative
start date is August 16.

Although, we're about half way through the first volume, it's such a
nicely paced introduction to Biblical Hebrew, that I think someone
with even a little Hebrew under his or her belt -- or simply some
prior experience learning languages -- could quite easily catch up
(see my response below to an off-list query). We are going to continue
to take the book at a very moderate pace.
