I saw a program on the history channel showing the minimalism was death.
"The Hebrew writings are supposed to be a justification for a kingdom that
never existed? Dever said that on the program. The siliver scroll is clear
proof of a vital literary tradiltion that was pre-exilic at least. So I hope
we can stop wasting time over twice dead minimalism. I wish that I knew the
name of the program to pass on. My apologies.

Dear B-Hebrew Chavurim:
In connection with another discussion I looked again at these two roots and
was struck by the similarity of usage, meaning and even form. Is it possible
that these are recognized as separate roots only on the basis of the
Masoretic points, without which they would be considered one root?
What think ye?
Karl W. Randolph.
