Bruce:
1 Kings 4:3, these were the names of Solomon's scribes, namely Elicharap and
Achiah, the sons of Shisha
2 Samuel 8:17 Seryah
2 Samuel 20:25 Shiya
1 Chronicles 18:16 Shusha
It is possible that the father of Solomon's scribes was one of David's
scribes, copyist error in one of the books causing a different spelling, or
those could have been different people.
We find in modern politics that a president's assistants often don't last
four years, so why should we assume that David's scribes last the full 40
years of his rule?
