divided: ya(am-du. However, some stress rules (mainly nesiga) deal
That should be: ya:-(am-du:
with the word as if it was *ya(madu or *yi(madu. This suggests to me
And these: *ya(-madu: or *yi(-madu:
The syllable "(am" above is thus a new syllable that did not previously
exist, and this is why it is "non-phonological".
