Dear sujata,

Did Hebrew and Aramaic co-exist? If that was the case, what was the reason Aramaic replaced Hebrew in Judaea and surrounds?

I believe the Babylonian Captivity had a lot to do with it. Aramaic was the language spoken in the Persian Empire:
