Some scholars noting some 17 "correspondences" or "parallels" between the
Mesopotamian Shuruppak Flood account and that of the Bible's "Flood of Noah"
have suggested that perhaps the _same event_ is being recalled with
different details attributed to a polytheistic vs. monotheistic viewpoint.
For a "possible" 3rd milllennium BCE Sumerian rendering of the
Mesopotamian's Noah's "Ark" cf. the below url:
