The Ha'aretz Hebrew-language edition of July 8, 2005 has a review in
Hebrew by Prof. Joseph Yahalom of the final excavation report of the
Sepphoris synagogue, Zeev Weiss's English-language "The Sepphoris Synagogue;
Deciphering an Ancient Message through Its Archaeological and
Socio-Historical Contexts" (Jerusalem 2005), 376 pages, 58 color photos, 258
black-and-white photos, hardcover. ISBN 965-221-057-9.
Dr. Weiss is a member of the Department of Classical Archaeology,
Institute of Archaeology, Hebrew University, and the Director of the Zippori
(Sepphoris) excavations.
The book contains contributions by Ehud Netzer, Katia Cytryn-Silverman,
Leah Di Segni, Orna Eliahu-Oren, Judit Gärtner, Yael Gorin-Rosen, and
Ya'akov Meshorer.
The review may be read at

Please note that there are many question marks in the Internet version
of the review. Some of them reflect formatting problems relating to
parentheses while others mysteriously appear in some words. They should not
have appeared in the text and should be ignored.
