Do we have any Akkadian experts here?
In John Huehnergard's _A Grammar of Akkadian_, p. 187, he translates "awilam
$a kima $uati" as "'a man of equal rank (lit., 'a man who is/was like him')".
1. Is this translation of kima generally accepted by Akkadian scholars, and
is this use common in Akkadian?
2. If we apply this to the (in)famous W)HBT LR)K KMWK we'ahabta lere`ekha
kamokha, would the correct translation be "Love your fellow as your equal"
or
"Love your fellow of equal rank"?
