Sorry, but I cannot credit that the Samaritan Pentateuch only goes back to
medieval times. Several of the Greek church fathers referred to this SP.
Origen used a Greek translation of it, called the Samareitikon. It is also
cited
in the works of Eusebius, Epiphanius and Cyril of Jerusalem. Jerome employed
it in his Latin translation of the Vulgate.
