IPRUS and LIPRUS are terms to indicate tenses in Akkadian.
The paradigmatic verb in Akkadian is PARASUM, to separate.
Iprus is "he separated," liprus is "let him separate."
These are the Akkadian versions of wayyiqtol, etc.
They're used to indicate the tenses of the strong verb.
