generally kavod is rendered by something like "glory" in english. i'm
wondering
if "intimidation" and its relatives would be more dynamically equivalent....
the whole notion of being in the presence of someone who has "kavod" evokes a
response of fear and wonder and uncertainty as well as "heaviness". isnt
this
exactly what we mean today when we say that someone's presence
is "intimidating"?
