Doesn't look Persian to me. But then Persian has changed a lot in the
2500+ years or whatever since Deut 22:11 and Lev 19:19 were penned. BDB
suggests an Egyptian origin, comparing with Coptic saht (woven) + nudj
(false). I wonder if more recent scholarship can improve on this
suggestion.
