i have tried to make my notes less cryptic: i have supplied a manuscript
at my web subdirectory ...papers/ entitled "On the Semantics of Modal
Coordination in Biblical Hebrew".
while this is still not accessible to the nonspecialist, it's still a
start to putting words to those notes.... probably would require a
monographic treatment, but who in the field would publish it?!! ;-)
N.B. the use of negation and mood. this reminds me of a recent
dissertation using mood as the basic inflectional element: have to look
that up.... was it susan rattray?
cheers
