since your question is specific to LaSor and not general method:
by memory, LaSor dealt with Ester, (though maybe Rut was included?).
and it does not tie-in and develop listening or right-brained
language skills. I'm not sure that the approach would help students
jump into the whole language any easier that a traditonal
grammar-translation
approach.
Perhaps an advantage would be to encourage contextual
guessing as a learning device. Also, an inductive course majors in the
majors
by nature of using actual material.
