I think 'e(y)rom could be related to 'wr as a root variant of 'rw (cf. 'erwA "pudenda") <*'awir (stative model) + om (an obscure enclitic element), but 'arom (2:25) looks like a derivate of 'rw root. Perhaps it would be wise to postulate a (secondary) 'rm III "root" (so tentatively KB III), i.e. 'r + enclitic m, and then to analyse 'e(y)rom as qittul, and 'arom as qatul (all vowels short in both cases).
I am not myself 100 percent convinced of the truth of my opinion and want to know what you think of the -om element and its vocalism?
