Is qahal the correspondent substantive to ekklesia in LXX?

Yes, but you might want to consider `eda as a background word if you're
comparing ekklhsia with NT. In the LXX sunagwgh was used for `eda, but
after the development of the synagogue institution, sunagwgh would be less
fitting for 'the body of believers'. Thus, if `eda were being used for
'body of believers' ekklhsia may have become a more natural NT equivalent
in the gospels.
