On 1 April I noted that Isaiah 13-14 might be alluding to Sargon II, who
died in battle, his body not being recovered for burial.

I have since been informed Off-List by another scholar, that this
association was proposed by Haim Tadmor (an Assyriologist), a version of
this article appeared in Hebrew in the periodical Eretz Israel 5 (1959).

So, it would appear that my research is supported to some degree, that
Isaiah's King of Babylon may be an Assyrian (Sargon II ) instead of a
Chaldean (Merodach-Baladan).
