Surely "shelter" is sufficient. In English a "shelter" is generally
temporary, and temporariness was not always in focus in the Hebrew
word e.g. Gen 33:17, Isa 1:8 and especially 4:6, Amos 9:11.

Gday all,

For your interlinear we are considering using a different word for sukkah
from the traditional "booth". What do you think of the expression "temporary
shelter"?
