Hi All!
I have a question in relation to the vowel pointings of the MT.
Recently, I had a guy telling me that because they are additions to the text
they are not the word of God (ie. not inspired nor authoritive).
When were these poitings added to the text and exactly by who? On what basis
did they decide which pointings to use?
The discussion came up when he interprted the WAW in W'YHY as a
WAW-conjunctive even though it was pointed as a WAW-consecutive. The only
difference was in the pointing.
