I'm always game for learning a new word. It sounds like you are, too.

As for "vetitive," see Waltke and O'Connor p. 567, note 6. "The
combination )al + jussive is sometimes called the vetitive (Latin veto 'to
not permit); e.g., R.J. Williams, _Hebrew Syntax: An Outline_(2d. ed.;
Toronto: University of Toronto, 1976) 35."
