Anybody want to talk? Maybe I can pass on some questions inspired by
reading Sternberg's _Poetics of Biblical Narrative_.
1. Did Uriah know David and Bathsheba cuckolded him?
2. How does your response to the first question affect your understanding
of David?
Sternberg, btw, makes wonderful sense out of what he believes is the
ambiguity of Uriah's state of understanding, using Uriah as a paradigm of
the narrator's art.
