A vaga é de technical producer - tem que manjar bastante de css, xml, tem que trabalhar junto com editorial - naopode ser legatim que nao interagia com a gente... a pessoa ficara responsavel por criar feeds, fazer integracao de templates com parceiros - ou seja, tem que manjar de html, css, xml

MSN Technical Producer

The MSN Technical Producer is responsible for the deployment of platform & feature upgrades across the MSN Publishing platform, liaising with the editorial teams to drive best practise in their use of the publishing platform and the local administration of permissions and feed content.



This role requires a mix of software deployment, geoscale content publishing gained in an online editorial environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the deployment of new channels, platform upgrades and new features across specific MSN sites and as a result will need to work closely with the relevant EP, editors and Program Managers (PM) responsible for the specification & delivery of the new features, who will use the technology to drive business metrics.



The expectation is that the Technical Producer will not only have the technical experience to deploy the features but have experience in an editorial environment to that will enable them to easily engage with the editors and drive a consistent approach and best practise in the use of these features by the editorial teams as well as provide 1st line support and maintenance to the teams.



The role also encompasses the local administration of the publishing platform permissions and feed maintenance.



Key Accountabilities



·         Platform Upgrades. Works with the relevant development & editorial teams to project manage the timely delivery of platform / channel upgrades:

o   System upgrades (Newsletters, MyMSN, MSN Today, MSN Toolbar, MSN IE, etc.).

o   Bedrock channel build / rebuild.

o   Adoption of WW best practises across all channels on MSN sites.

o   Tactical changes to the site.

o   RSS Management.

o   Partner feed and shuttle Management



·         Feature deployment. Take delivery of features from the local market PMs and work with the editorial teams to deploy them within their sites, training staff on their use as necessary:

o   Responsible for new features/capabilities after being trained on the features and receiving documentation from the market PM. (PM still responsible for QA and acceptance criteria).

o   Adding new features/capabilities to the feature catalogue in anticipation of deployment.

o   Training & supporting the editorial teams on their use.

o   Deployment of new features/capabilities onto the live site



·         Support & Maintenance. Ongoing ‘how to’ support questions and escalations to MSNAlert.

o   Triage of quick fixes / enter Ties issues.  

o   Basic training for new editors & liaison with MSN Media academy to ensure ongoing training is delivered into the editorial team.



·         Administration.

o   Maintain Bedrock & Message board access permissions.

o   Maintenance of Shuttle auto update jobs.



·         Graphical support

o   Create, resize and upload images.





Key Success Criteria

   All platform upgrades and features deployed successfully.
   Clear, timely monthly reporting and communication to the business stakeholders.
   Improve product quality through clear, actionable & insightful feedback.





Experience

·         At least 1 year experience in online media preferably in a technical role

·         Proficient in HTML and experience with feeds such as XML

·         Proficient in CSS

·         Graphical production experience highly desirable (Photoshop, Flash, Silverlight)
