[TypicalGirls] must-haves for the beginning girl rocker (part 2)

OK - that eliminates Girls at Our Best. (Too bad! They're great.)

That leaves 4 more.

Plus, a decision: Scream (album) vs. Singles collection!

Yeah, the Girls at Our Best reissue is not easily available (even though it came out 4 years ago I think it's out of print - no amazon copies or insound) and when it comes up on ebay on CD or vinyl it goes for a MASSIVE price. I think there's one listed now for like 49 dollars, ouch!

As far as accessibility goes, I haven't had any reason to go looking for a copy lately (since I've got my own), but the Girls at Our Best CD must be pretty hard to find -- I saw one bring something like $75 on eBay a few months ago.

Dan, who btw would vote for Scream over the singles collection ...

Oh yeah, good point Kevin. I must confess that I personally don't have that singles compilation! Is it still in print?

Accessibility is an important idea here. So thanks!

The list remains too overwhelming as it is! I believe it should only be ten, rather than fifteen CDs.

Narrowing it down to the TG timeframe (late 70s-early 80s) has been a challenge in and of itself, as well. (A decision I'm not sure I want to be draconian about!)

Any and all input is welcome!

      Thanks...

Well, you don't want to be overwhelming. So I think you have more than enough already. The only thing I'd switch is ONCE UPON A TIME - THE SINGLES instead of THE SCREAM for Siouxsie. Better intro and, to my ears, a much better album overall.
