Summary: microcode_ctl spell fails due to existing
                    /dev/cpu/microcode ( with fix )
           Product: Codex
           Version: stable grimoire
          Platform: x86
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: kernels
        AssignedTo: sm-grimoire-bugs at lists.ibiblio.org
        ReportedBy: henkjans_bagger at hotmail.com

Installation of microcode_ctl fails with the following error-message

install -s -m 755 microcode_ctl /usr/sbin
install -m 644 intel-ia32microcode-23April2007.txt /etc/microcode.dat
install -m 644 microcode_ctl.8 /usr/man/man8
gzip -9f /usr/man/man8/microcode_ctl.8
mkdir -p /dev/cpu
mknod /dev/cpu/microcode c 10 184
mknod: `/dev/cpu/microcode': File exists
make: *** [device] Error 1

I assume this error is because the current kernel (2.6.33) already creates this
device-node when enabling the relevant kernel-option.

The obvious fix of simply removing the "make devices" line from the INSTALL
file makes it work for me.
