We used to use the latest kernel headers, but ran into problems as your entire
system should be built against the same headers as glibc was built against.

Example:
Kernel is 2.6.25.10, build glibc using 2.6.25.10 headers
Rebuild system, everything is now built against glibc with 2.6.25.10 headers
Kernel updates to 2.6.26, build glibc
You now have to (or maybe it's just "should", I don't know) rebuild everything,
as you can't (or shouldn't) build any new packages until everything is built
against glibc with the new headers (you do not want some packages built against
glibc+2.6.25.10 and some built against glibc+2.6.26).

Yes, you want glibc (and your system) to be built against the latest kernel
headers to get all the nifty new features, but AFAIK you want the entire system
to be built against the same glibc+headers, and not some against
glibc+headers1, some against glibc+headers2, and some against
glibc+headersomfg.
