Well, my gpg says it is incorrect. Manpage also hints at a DSA signature 
needing a 160bit hash to be standard conforming.

Does your gpg check that sig without hickup? You did any special configuration 
(expert mode)?

I propose you leave out that --digest-algo sha512  or ... hm, use a RSA key 
instead of DSA?
I'm no distinct expert on gpg - I just do gpg --detach-sign file and that 
works for me... you can also consider my gpg setup (especially for the root 
user) to be stock out of the box smgl.
