On a tangentially related topic for those interested in quince but having serious fireblight problems, there are some Bulgarian quince that were recently imported by the USDA which are from a Bulgarian fireblight resistance breeding program. I have a few of them growing. Here is what is in the USDA system.
PI 665814 I-83 O.P.
PI 655059 IV-36 O.P.
PI 665815 IV-40 O.P.
PI 665816 V-7 O.P.
PI 665817 V-46 O.P.
PI 665818 VI-7 O.P.
PI 660757 Triumph O.P.
I have had horrible fireblight on my quince so I removed them all, now I am only trialing some of these ones.
