Pawpaws are notoriously poor pollinators.  However, with a little help 
from growers, they will bear in good numbers.  Siting of plants also 
will have an impact.  Wild pawpaws are an understory tree and typically 
will not fruit as well as those grown out in the sunlight (like most 
orchard trees).
