Ever on the lookout for edibles; we found Elaeagnus pungens fruit this last
weekend, which is ripening and tasty.

Can bloom in fall with winter fruit farther south. We tend here in East
Tenn to get fruit in early spring.

Any one know any cultivars selected for fruit?

This one is also listed as an exotic invasive by numerous groups, can often
be found in disturbed areas.
