I have wondered how Michigan bulb stayed in business.
I have wondered this for near 15 years it seems. Every one I knew that had
asked me about them and ordered anyway has been sorry for there pumped up
adds and inferior small bulbs and plants. I also never opened any mail from
them it was a sham. They had the stuff, but bulbs especially took two or
more years to produce they were usually so small.

F&G went under in part to the Michigan Bulb fiasco. They were fined for
their fraudulent contests and started losing money hand over fist. Their
losses dragged down all the other associated companies. According to
insider reports, the management actually used Michigan Bulb as an excuse for
a multitude of bad business decisions. Sounds like the enterprise was
doomed from the beginning.
