Bob

The Schaper unit sounds like a nice feature for a Cub. We have one and I'm
interested. How does it mount on the Cub; side, rear or on the toolbar? Does
it feed to a bar-mounted knife or does it have spreaders at the base of the
feed-tube?

I know the cub has no 3pt hitch so the pull type Gandy will work. But you
will be much better off getting the Schaper Brothers spreader. This model is
made for 3pt hookup. But it has high clearance and optional drop tubes
allowing you to side dress tall growing crops. It is the number one
sidedresser on the vegetable farms in South Jersey. They work very well on
raised beds. The gandy is primarily a pasture and turf machine.
Kenny Schaper makes these sidedressers himself in a small welding shop down
the road from me and you will be supporting a farm family. Give Ken a call

Anyone have experience using a Gandy box to sidedress fish meal? The
good folks at Market Farm Impl are recommending a Gandy w/ a stainless
base, poly box and a 100# capacity, but I'd like a second opinion
before I take the plunge. I'll be mounting it on a Cub.

Any thoughts? Thanks!
