>I've got an area of my gardens that has some johnson grass problems. I did some fallow tilling last summer, and I'm sure I've reduced it's vigor somewhat, but I doubt it's gone completely. I'm wondering if anyone has used plastic mulch in areas with Johnson grass? I am a little worried that it might just poke right on through?

We don't have Johnson Grass in northern Illinois. But I've experienced yellow nutsedge poking right through plastic mulch. It has a sharp point as it emerges and it just pierces the plastic. Hope that helps.
