Joan, I see you will be on the panel regarding value added at the Great
Plains Vegetable conference.  Perhaps you should glue a couple of eyes
on one of those gumballs (one with the stem still attached), then glue
on a small safety pin and sell them as jewelry.  We made those in
Scouts.  That's value added for sure.

lock them up.  I'll be happy to scoop them up and save them (for the

bidder! really, Bob, 39 cents ea.?).  We normally rake them and pile
them
somewhere behind bushes.  They are a real pain but if I gather them now
they
will be fine for next fall since we've had no rain since sometime last
summer.
