"About 30 percent of longevity may be due to genes, according to a new 
report from the International Longevity Center-USA and the AARP Foundation.
". . . certain genes in humans may regulate the rate of aging. . . .
"In the meantime, the only way to boost the odds for a long life, Butler 
says, is to adopt healthy lifestyles."
