Hi ,

Just I want to clarify my requirement before seeking someone help on my
issue.

 *Requirement* :

I need to develop the webpage/Report using shinypackages then I need to
host it on shinyapps.io (shinyapps.io hosted on *Linux*)for that I’m using
RODBC package to connect my MS Sql server ,but when I deployed it on
shinyapps.io ,I have encountered this (first argument is not an open RODBC
channel) error, based on this error message I googled and found that I need
to use freeTDS drivers instead of sql server and I have cheeked with “R
professional help” and they guide me like I don’t need to install freeTDS
separately just I need to use freeTDS drivers instead of sql server but I
couldn’t able to make a successful connection. I’m suspecting that I may
need to install freeTDS and need to configure it on my machine which has
been running with Windows 8.

*Help* :

Now I’m seeking a help like how to install freeTDS and how to configure
it on windows 8 ,so that I can make a successful connection to my MS Sql
server from R studio/Shinyapps.io

  FYI… https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/shinyapps-users/hs4bQHsk9JU

Thanks,Manu.
