Hi,
I have taken a freeTDS(v0.82) dump from freetds.org and unpacked on a Sun
Solaris machine by a normal user( not root and I will not be able to get
root access for installation ).
I have followed the following steps for installation.
configure --prefix=MY_HOME_DIRECTORY
make
make install
I have gone to the directory where tsql is present and tried connecting to
SQL server 2008 express which is installed on a windows machine with the
following command.
tsql -H hostname -p 1433 -U User_name
locale is "C"
locale charset is "646"
Password:
There was a problem connecting to the server
I have checked whether remote connections are enabled in SQL express,
every thing seems to be ok.
Any help on this would be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Mahendra
