TDS 7.0 with PHP

Thanks for your reply, Michael.

I have tried using TDS 4.2 or 5.0 against our SQL Server, but char or
varchar columns > 255 bytes get truncated to 255 bytes, no matter what I
do. I scanned MS's Technotes, and found articles saying that if you
connect to a SQL Server 7.0 using TDS 4.2 or 5.0, the data gets modified
on the fly to be compatible with the TDS protocol in use. Specifically
columns longer than 255 bytes get truncated, and cursors and
transactions get handled differently.

What are you doing to get more than 255 bytes per row? I'd prefer to use
TDS 4.2 if I could...
