Interesting publication...looks like Carrboro's initiatives and our
discussions haven't made any national radar...Martha

NCLGISA:

Good morning. Per the attached report from
Muniwireless.com, to the best of my review, it notes there were no
City's or County's in NC which were considering or had completed a
broadband wireless implementation. Is this indeed the case? Thanks for
the feedback.

Respectfully,

"Vic"

Week 31 of 2005 issue no. 98

Muniwireless.com
reports on municipal wireless and broadband projects

Dear Stanley Victrum,

My Second Anniversary Report is finally out! Unofficially called the
July 2005 Report, it's an update of the March 2005 Report and contains
the latest (as of July) on municipal and county deployments. What's new?
The number of cities and counties issuing RFPs has gone up dramatically
and I know many more who are about to do the same (but I am sworn to
secrecy).

In case you have not noticed, I have two new editors posting on
Muniwireless. Sascha Meinrath of the Champaign-Urbana Community Wireless
Network (CUWIN) will be posting articles in the Community section;
Dewayne Hendricks of the Dandin Group in Fremont, California will be
posting in the Technology section. I have known Sascha and Dewayne for
some time now and they have been valuable, although silent, contributors
to Muniwireless. So I decided to make them less silent. In fact, they
already started posting this week.

Planning my conference is very exciting. More speakers have confirmed
and I will be posting short pieces from them this week so keep checking
Muniwireless. Better yet -- SIGN UP NOW! There's an early bird discount
of $100 for anyone who registers before August 25. The conference
