This is a very common misconception. The GPL does not care about the type of 
content you use it for. It is concerned with protecting the four freedoms for 
all types of content.

It is just not optimal for certain types of art, due to the restrictions in 
the form of the content (for example when a movie has several GiB of sources 
but only 10MiB of finished work).
