i don't want to start a governance debate, but i don't think we should
enforce, or in fact use pressure to try to enforce, a suggestion made to
members to self-regulate their discussion of substance on this public
mailing list.

if they insist that they need to lead their discussion to its conclusion
in this way so let them. they might consider reporting back to the
larger part of this mailing list who doesn't have time to follow their
extensive exchange in separate email, unless they want to risk their
considerations being overheard in the CCv3 public discussion.
