Goals
-
no log can prove that the conversation took place.
- no single point of
failure
- authentication of remote peer is possible
- news broadcasting
is possible
- chat room can be easily implemented (not part of the design
at this point)

Chat is UDP based and point to point.
Chat spec does
not cover how peers find each other.
Chat spec does not cover encryption.

Chat spec does not cover "chat rooms"
Chat will use encytpion and signature
API provided by Rodi Core

CLI commands
- chat send [address] [port] [text]

- chat open [address] [port] [alias]
- chat autoack [alias] [true/false]

- chat send [alias]

chat send [address] [port] [text] [private key alias
?]
Sends arbitrary text to the specified by IP address and port peer (this
one is supported by existing code).
Presumably peer uses signed and/or encrypted
packets or sends shared secret word.

chat open [address] [port] [alias]
[public key alias ?] [private key alias ?]
Asotiate destination IP and port
with peer's alias - opens chat session. It just a shortcut. Alias will be
used instead
of address:port combination. Alias is an alias of the session
- identification of the session.
Private key alias is an alias of private
key of
the local host - the key to be used to sign outgoing packets. Public
key alias is an alias of the public key of the
remote peer.

chat autoack
[alias] [true/false]
Enbale/disable automatic ack for the specified by alias
chat session

In the simplest case no acks are sent. Ever. Period. Peer
A sends UDP packet directly to peer B. Peer B sees a message.
Peer B decides
(requires manual intervention) to send reply.
By default chat is not reliable.
Chat is reliable if peers decide to enable automatic acknowledge.

i will
greatly appreciate any comments
