My attention was called today to the fact that the Luther Bible of
1545 translates Psalm 24:7

König der Ehren einziehe!" with OLAM rendered as Welt, 'world',
apparently in the sense of space.

KJV translates this verse as: "Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be
ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come
in", with OLAM rendered as 'everlasting' in the sense of time.

On the other hand, the Luther Bible translates
of Gen. 21:33 as: "des ewigen Gottes", the eternal God.
